Complete your registration for the Tesco Equal Pay Claim here

Thank you for registering. We now need a little bit of information about you in order to progress you to the next stage.

Important: we need to ask Tesco to locate your employee records as part of the process for the equal pay claim. Tesco has said that the only way it can be confident in locating your details is to use your National Insurance number because it holds records for so many people. The Employment Tribunal has agreed that we should provide National Insurance numbers for all claimants.
This will help Tesco identify your employment records when we write to them about your claim. You can find your national insurance number on your payslip.

Joining the group

Before you join the claim, you should understand it and the arrangements you will be entering into with the solicitors and the rest of the group. When you click next, a document pack will appear. The document pack sets out:

-    your ‘no win-no fee’ agreement with Harcus Parker Employment (the solicitors), and

-    the arrangements between you and the other Tesco employees who are bringing equal pay claims through Harcus Parker Employment.

Here is a summary of the document pack:

What is Equal Pay?

  • The law on equal pay for men and women is very clear. Not only should men and women be paid the same for the same job, but also they should be paid the same for doing work of EQUAL VALUE.
  • The Tesco Equal Pay Claim is based on the work in the stores being of equal value with with the work being done by men in the distribution centres who are earning much more. Therefore, storeworkers can potentially claim up to 6 years of lost pay (this is disputed by Tesco).
  • Many potential current claims are for over £10,000 or about £1,700 for every year worked at Tesco (up to the maximum of 6 years).
